The new responsive homepage adapts to different screen sizes, and is organized into content rows that can be scrolled through for highlights and a quick overview of the program. Content areas showcase special features, a newsroom with events and blog posts, project spotlights, LIS facts, social media feeds, partner logos, and an underwater video below the footer.
The Long Island Sound Study website won a Judges Award at the 2021 Connecticut Art Director’s Club Award Show.
Since the redesign, the number of users to the site increased by 72%, the number of user sessions increased by 65%, and the number of page views increased by 33%.
